I have been looking into portable oxygen concentrators. I am debating buying a used one from http://ultahealth.net . I am not sure if I should buy new and get the longer warranty or used and get a much better price on a unit with very low hours.
I'm stuck in my house and I need a portable to be able to go shopping or visiting and to the doctors.
I am currently looking for a portable oxygen concentrator for my mom.She uses the filled tank kind right now.Does anyone know what type of portable concentrator she could use. When I say portable I mean like the Airsep,Inogene One,Ever Go,and ect.
Thnaks in advance
I would like to hear comments/critiques of portable oxygen concentrator from anyone who has used them. I do know all about portable oxygen tanks... I also know that we can NEVER get the company that provides them to my mother to ever show up and bring her more. (She's on a HMO policy, so we can't change from the provider. BTW: Beware of Apria!). I know insurance will not pay for the concentrator, so I will have to pay for this for her out of my pocket. I just need some recommendations from anyone who has experienced a portable oxygen concentrator for themselves (or vicariously through a loved one).
Thank you in advance to all who respond!
I am concerned with the reliabiity of the smaller units ,any advice appreciated...
I rented a portable oxygen concentrator for use while travelling and the medical supply company required payment by credit card bc they said that Medicare would not pay them for this item. I have a supplemental insurance that will pay for things not paid for by Medicare. OK, I know that no insurance company guarantees payment but I want to make a serious effort to be reimbursed for this item. Any suggestions you might have will be appreciated., I have worked in medical billing, but my experience is with billing for a medical doctor's office, not for medical supplies. Thanks.
I need it to be small and very light. i also need a nebuliser machine that can be used abroad in the carribean and can be used on board a flight without been plugged in.
Leaving country end of month need to find equioment to take with him. thank you
not one of the little portable ones but the bigger one you use at home
Elderly person in my family has been using both concentrator (the electric one), and the portable oxygen cylinders for past three years. She's very recently been intubated, is back home, but such as it's always after one of those hospitalizations, her breathing hasn't normalized yet. By normal I mean what it's normal for her, in which she does the pursed lips, but otherwise does pretty well with our very watchful eye regarding diet, no strenous anything, etc, etc.
Since unfortunately she doesn't get any better with time because this disease is irreversible in people her age, which oxygen would do her best, the electric one (which I personally don't trust as well), or the oxygen cylinder? I always think this is the real thing. Am I correct?
